The British-built Ultima GTR has blitzed Top Gear’s test track - setting the fastest time ever recorded by a production car.

But the lightweight sportscar won’t be heading up the Top Gear leaderboard, as the GTR’s run wasn?t an official test for the BBC show.

Lewis Hamilton has announced he will move to Switzerland because his popularity in Britain has made it impossible for him to lead a normal life.
The 22 year-old said: "I’ve lost my ability to go places here. You don’t understand what that means until you get there and you really struggle to lead a normal life."

The German Chancellor has snubbed the country’s green lobby, after she ignored calls for speed limits on Germany’s motorways.

Yesterday it looked as if the 80mph blanket speed limit would be implemented, as the Socialist Party voted in favour of it during a key party congress.
