Kleemann’s Take On The Mercedes SLK55 AMG: The GTK Concept

Files under Corporation Business | Posted by

If the previously-detailed Mercedes SLR 722 GT was a little too track-oriented for your tastes, the Danish tuning wunderkinds of Kleemann may have a concept better suited at appeasing your deep-seeded inner cravings for both phenomenal power and on-road approval. Titled the GTK concept, the new model is based on the Mercedes SLK55 AMG; and it packs a euphoria-inducing normally aspirated SLK 55 AMG V8 engine fitted with a complete KLEEMANN Kompressor system kit. The result is relatively compact concept delivering 540 HP and 700 Nm or 516-lb/ft of torque, enough to catapult the GTK from 0-62 mph in 3.7 seconds and achieve an electronically-limited top speed of 186 mph. Power is transferred via a seven-speed automatic gearbox, while a Kleemann limited slip differential, high performance braking system, ultra low profile tires on 20-inch alloy rims, and redesigned styling bearing virtually no resemblance to a traditional SLK all complete the package.
